CV

I was born in Vicenza (Italy), I graduated (BA) in Milan at the Università Statale degli Studi, in Early Modern History of Art under the guidance of Prof. Giovanni Agosti (2009). My thesis, The Notebooks of Sir Charles Lock Eastlake: Venice 1854-1864 was part of a larger project, coordinated by same Prof. Agosti, curated by Susanna Avery Quash and published by the Walpole Society in 2011 (Vol. 73).

After graduating I moved to the Netherlands where I enrolled at the University of Amsterdam’s program of Dutch Art in European Context . In November 2011 I graduated with a thesis supervised by Prof. Eric Jan Sluijter, focusing on still lives paintings and in particular on a personification of vanitas supposed to be by the hand of the Flemish female painter Clara Peeters (1594c.-1657).

Since 2011 I work as volunteer at the RKD (Netherlands Institute for Art History) in The Hague. I joined several projects working at the RKDimages and RKDartists databases, searchable online at rkd.nl. Since February 2018 I am working at the Dr. Niemeijer archive.

I am curator of the old prints collection of Prof. Ton Koopman in Amsterdam; in December 2012 I organized an exhibition, De Heilige Cecilia met Orgel (S. Cecilia at the Organ) with prints and ex-libris from this collection.

Currently, I am working for Antiquariaat Arine Van der Steur in The Hague where I take care of the Old Masters prints and drawings department.

In 2017 I was invited at the first edition of the Arezzo Summer Course where I delivered two lectures on music iconography.

I am currently Ph.D. candidate at Leiden University. My research focuses on decorated Italian manuscripts of secular vocal music from the seventeenth century.
